Mission:
The Cincy Blues Society is a member-supported, 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to promote and advance the culture and tradition of Blues music as an original American art form. The Cincy Blues Society has been in existence since 1990. The Cincy Blues Society strives to fulfill its mission by encouraging and facilitating both performance and educational events and projects. Our focus is on "Keeping the Blues Alive!"
Description:
Back for its 17th year, the Cincy Blues Fest brings more than 50 local, national, and international blues acts to the banks of the Ohio River, at Sawyer Point Park, August 7 and 8.
There will be plenty of food and refreshments, Blues-related merchandise, and the best Blues music around! All proceeds go to the Cincy Blues Society to help fund their Blues in the Schools (BITS) program, educating local area students from elementary through high school on the history and styles of Blues music.
